Default 2012 Mod questions

Guy's I pulled the trigger on a 2012 Ingot silver. Its basically a base premium, with spoiler delete. I have been hounding the forums for a few weeks now trying to decide what I want to do with it. I think I came up with what I think will be a good look, but I have a few questions.

1. Rims, I like the RTR's, SVT's, and a new place is eurotek. I plan on 19x9.5 all around and from what I've read the eurotek's don't stick out like the RTR's or SVT's. I am in the country so stone chips might be a problem. I was going to put GT500 mud flaps on to help. Any thoughts on the those rims? I'd like to do Forgestar's or Gt500 performance pack, but not in the budget. I was gonna go with silver rims, I've seen some pics on silver cars and they look good. Just trying to be different than everyone doing black ones.

2. Spoiler, I was gonna do the GT500 factory one. I know American muscle sells the 3Dcarbon one, but I like the original ones with the black piece. Is there a place to get the factory ones and a decent price?

3. GT/CS front end with boss splitter.

4. axlebacks, either flow master or FRPP Gt500 ones.

5. Not sure about CAI, I don't want to do a tune due to warranty.

Thats it for now, maybe tint and a drop, but not now...Thanks for any help.

1- The RTR's look sick for sure. If you're really trying to budget your money, have you considered our AMR wheels? They look very similar to the RTR's, but area little more affordable.

2- I like the GT/CS spoiler, if you want a factory look. Plus you can have it painted any color you choose. Which factory spoiler are you looking for exactly? The GT?

3- CS/Boss from fascia is easily my favorite visual mod. Two thumbs up!

4- Either exhaust sounds great! That's just a personal opinion.

5- Airaid makes a great CAI that doesn't require a tune and won't void your warranty. We sell thousands of these and have only received the best feedback from our customers. Just check some of the reviews out on our site!

You have any awesome setup planed for your 2012 Stang. Let me know if there's anything I can help with!

Shane,

I was looking at the GT500 rear spoiler. But I want it with the black piece, not all one color. http://www.americanmuscle.com/painte...iler-1012.html

I was looking into the AMR wheels too, is there a tire that you guys prefer? I'm not gonna track it, just driving around, it might see some wet roads, so a good all around tire. I think the Charcoal will look good on the ingot silver, just not sure I like real brite machined ones.

Thanks for the help

I gotcha, I had something else in my mind, and after I reread it, you made perfect sense. haha. We do have the GT500 spoiler pre-painted without the black trim. You could pick the spoiler up and take the spoiler to a paint shop and just have that lip done. That's always an option.

Also, sorry about my first link, I meant to send you to 19" AMRs instead of 18s. We do have a few wheel and tire kits that we offer with the Staggered AMR 19s, which looks sick with 19x8.5 in the front and 19x9.5 for the rear!

Tires- out of the choices, the Nitto Invo's are a pretty extreme summer time handling tire. The most impressive part about them is they work very well in the rain too. Of course these do cost the most, but they would be my first choice. If you're trying to keep a lower budget, the Sumitomo's are great all around tires for a very affordable price. Sumitomo's are my "bang for buck" choice.

Hope this helps more. Let me know if there's anything else I can do!

Sounds like a solid plan, but I'd add UPR/Eibach lowering springs, UPR adjustable panhard bar, and UPR LCAs. The aesthetic AND handling improvement is really good for the amount of money involved.

If you are going to get new exhaust, put the Roush axlebacks on your list. NO drone and a great sound.

Thanks, guy's. I was looking at the GT500 exaust vs the Roush, in the video's the Roush seems to cackle when you let off the throttle, the gt500 sounds better to me anyway.

What sort of money am I gonna have in lowering it? I like the look, but I dont want to sacrifice ride quality doing it. I might hold off and do that this winter while its parked when it snows.

Thanks

Well, UPR/Eibach lowering springs are only $199 and you can just install the springs with no other mods. http://www.uprproducts.com/mustang-e...prings-05.html

Of course, shocks, struts, and PHB are all recommended.

However, I don't think anyone will tell you you can lower the car without affecting the ride quality at all. Still though, the UPR/Eibach springs have a decent ride quality.

You didn't say if it was a GT or 3.7. That would make a difference in what exhaust you chose. I have the 4.6 Gt and went with Magnaflows axle backs.
Not over the top, nice deep tone and open up nicly when punched.
No drone at all ......
