Thanks everybody for the compliments! The paint shop is telling me they should have it ready by Wed next week. I bought some Redline Hood struts for it too that I will be putting on.

Still debating the underside......leave it white (Like the above pictures are now)or paint it black!? I have pretty much decided to paint the backside of it black, where the vents are....mostly cause that part of the hood will be exposed to the elements so I dont want to leave it with just the gel coat. And Id like for it to loo like it is open on the backside...same color as the cowl.

I like the backside being black idea for sure. But I would leave the underside to match the engine bay. I think it will give it a more factory quality look. But that's just my humble opinion.

What is it made of? I've heard with my duraflex hood you have to damn near bend the hood in half to make those struts go down.

 

looks good....paint it all white, that way when you go to shows, cruise-ins or wherever and you pop the hood, everything is nice and clean looking..

 

Have you ever considered maybe just painting something into the underneath of the hood? Can't be more than spraying the entire underside, however, some stenciling would have to be done. I was thinking something like the 5.0 badge on the fender? Black lettering, red dot against a white underside. I think that'd look pretty good with a size of 18" long and 9" tall... Just to be a little different and impress the select few folks that will see the engine bay...

I love the hood. What size is the cowl? Looks like 1.5"?
