Default Sneak Preview of Magazine Article:

Here's a sneak preview of a project I'm working on with 5.0 Mustang Magazine and American Muscle. We're doing an Extreme Makeover on my 2011 5.0. This is what we've done so far:

Looking good so far, Sharad! I love the AMR's on this color. When I was searching for my 5.0 I either wanted Black or this color!

We're really excited to be working on this project with you. Let me know if you have any questions or need some further assistance along the way!

So, just to be clear, your extreme makeover was a Roush front grille, Boss 302 front fascia and splitter, smoked front markers, wheels, side splitters, and a fake gas cap?

I dunno, it looks good, but not really "extreme". Am I missing something? Did you paint your side skirts and rear bumper too?

Feel like to hit "extreme" you need to go a little more over-the-top. I did almost the same changes to my car on a budget of jack ****, so extreme to me makes me think new hood, rear wing, and rear bumper, etc. without compromising the look you want.

Though, if you did have your side skirts and rear bumper painted that would be pretty sweet.

I think there were lowering springs as well, but I was thinking the same thing...

LOL! Thanks for the feedback. As I said, "This is what we've done so far"

Cosmetic:
BOSS front valence
BOSS splitter
Roush Grille
Raxiom headlights (waiting for HIDs to arrive)
Tinted lights
American Muscle front splash guards
Roush Side Splitters
BOSS rear valence
GT500 rear splash guards
Decklid blackout
Black Faux gas cap
GT500 spoiler (in the paint booth)
Raxiom taillights
UPR Billet fuel door
UPR Billet antenna
Window tint
20x10 AMR wheels on M/T tires

Underhood:
Ford Licensed Cap Covers
UPR Billet Fuse Box Cover
UPR Billet Battery Cover
UPR Billet MC Cover
UPR Billet Catch Can
BBK CAI / UPR 93 Octane Tune
Shrader Sound Tube Delete
Boost (soon)

Suspension:
Koni Yellows
GT500 Mounts
UPR/Eibach Pro Series springs
UPR Pro Street LCAs
UPR Pro Street DA UCA & Mount
UPR Pro Street PHB & Brace
Eibach swaybars
Big Brake Kit (soon)

Exhaust:
UPR x-pipe
Roush Mufflers

I mean, I guess that's basically stock... It feels like I've been upgrading non-stop in the few weeks that I've owned the car. But maybe I'm just not looking at it the same way you guys are. I'm not going to paint it some funky color or add some cheesy body kit, if that's what you thought I meant by "extreme makeover". But it looks very different from stock to me.

Underhood and suspension (other than lowering stance) don't really count in the Appearance Section, nor are they captured in a picture. So when you say "extreme makeover", those really don't count.

At least two of your mods (one of which I said you should add) aren't on the car yet...

Raxiom headlights (waiting for HIDs to arrive)
GT500 spoiler (in the paint booth)

And several of your mods are not featured in the picture...

Tinted lights
BOSS rear valence
GT500 rear splash guards
Decklid blackout
Black Faux gas cap
Raxiom taillights
UPR Billet fuel door
UPR Billet antenna

So as far as we can tell from the picture, you've only done a couple mods, ones that everyone does, and not crazy expensive mods at that.

BOSS front valence
BOSS splitter
Roush Grille
American Muscle front splash guards
Roush Side Splitters
UPR Billet fuel door
Window tint
20x10 AMR wheels on M/T tires

I guess when someone says they are going to be in a magazine like 5.0 and they are working with American Muscle we expect something a bit more. Not saying your car doesn't look good, it does, and we have similar taste, just not the "extreme makeover" I was expecting.
