Default First Wash and Wax...2012 GT

Last week I gave the new (to me) Mustang its first wash, polish, and wax. I used the Turtle Wax "Black Box." I'm realizing that black cars are nearly impossible to keep clean, but I'm impressed with the results even if they are temporary. Let me know what you think...

Looks good, do you keep it in the garage? I used to have black stang and it was hard to keep clean but I feel like almost all colors get dirty when you drive them (at least to me because I have a keen eye) but keeping it in the garage is a big help. Also I like to wash my car once a week regardless.

She looks good man!
Yes black is a PITA but when it is clean it is awesome.
It seems like you can clean it all day and when you pull it out of the garage you see all the small spots you missed..and then once the sun hits it you see all the other imperfections.
The Surf City Garage products are my favorites. There are many many products out there. Chemical guys, Poor Boys, Adams..etc.
The SCG Black Edge detailer is the only one I have found that you can use in direct sun on black.
I took mine to a car show a couple of weeks ago and it had been sitting in the sun for several hours. I decided to try the Black Edge detailer. No streaking at all. Normally if you spray a QD on a hot black car it just steams and dries instantly and streaks terribly.
Good luck with it!

Looks awesome, but that is why I never buy a black car too much work.
