Guys, I'm tired of trying to keep the gloss black decklid panel clean, so I'm going to remove it, weld up all of the clip holes and just go with a satin black painted panel between the lights. I think it will look good because my car is the Sterling Gray Metallic.

One thing I haven't quite figured out yet is the center Mustang emblem.... Is the '10-'12 trunk emblem the same size as the '13-'14 emblem? Am I correct that the '10-'12 decklid were similar to the '13-'14 but without the gloss trim panel? If they are the same then the MMD trunk emblem surround should allow me to remount my emblem on the "naked" decklid panel?
