Tell me about it. I'm 43 and I had to have a salesman with me everytime I went out in one..which was about every week until I left for Turkey (thank god for the letting Al Gore create the internet). Hopefully I can drive my own when I get back.

Think Pascal can fix'er up good as new??

Default Kids will be kids.

Yeah, the dealership probably found out what happened to car after the driver walked back into the showroom, handed the keys to the salesman and said "Thanks anyway but, I don't like the way it handles besides, that one has a scratch in the paint!"

My local dealership let me test drive three different Mustangs by myself on three separate occasions. Two of them were Bullitts and one was a regular GT. My salesman told me that he'd rather not be in the car when people test drive V8 Mustangs. He said he'd rather wait back in the showroom and let them take the car out themselves. I can see why...

Besides, the cars are insured, so if anything happens to the car, it's covered.

Different dealerships have different rules. And that is their right. Our local Ford dealer obviously has one to not let you take their cars out without a salesman aboard. Whether it be a Ford Focus or a Mustang GT, I didn't take it as a negative nor was I offended at having to be baby sat. It's their cars and their rules until I sign on the dotted line.
