My question is directed mainly towards those that ordered their MCA Mustang.

I ordered a Kona Blue MCA V6 with the "tape and side stripe delete".

I did this in the hopes that it would eliminate the flat black door stripe on the MCA cars.

Does anyone know for sure if checking this option deletes this stripe?

The build and price feature on fordvehicles.com does not provide enough info....when you check that box on an MCA car it simply goes back an image of a base V6.

Well, my build sheet says "tape and side stripe delete" but my car came with the MCA graphics because the "tape" that gets "deleted" is, in the case of the MCA, the "base model" v6 tape along the bottom of the car...

Edit: Ok, I think I have it figured out. You should be good. My sheet has "add flat black side accent stripe" in addition to "tape and side stripe delete". So if im interpereting this right, they delete the plain "mustang" lower tape and then just dont add in the MCA tape if you don't want it.

Though, I swear somewhere I saw "sport tape" as an option. Must have been on the window sticker. CAnt find that...

Don't sweat it. The website and the actual car ordering system are so different that the options don't even have the same codes. I'm not surprised that the pictures dont look right.

I'll also tell you that my car didnt show that I was getting saddle interior ANYWHERE after I ordered it. Only breatherd a sigh of relief when it rolled off the truck and was correct. Hope this helps.

I love them on mine, but a dark car it's weird to me.........worst case, get a hair dyer and comes off.

 

I've got the tape stripe on mine. It's hard to see in the shade, but is visible in the bright sunlight. I like it, it's kind of like a ghost effect.

 

I've found using that turtle wax ice spray you can blast it on those stripes and works well, does not leave any residue......using that same product finnaly figured out how to keep all black , front , sides, rear shine and dark, I just spray it all over , in the fog lights, all black stuff let sit about 5 mins, then hose off clear water before washing car looks good.

 

I actually like them as well, I just like it a little more without them.

This is my MCA Mustang w/ tape stripe delete. This option will remove the side "hockey sticks" but will still leave the black tape between the taillights.
