Default HID headlight

I was thinking about replacing my headlight bubls with one of those that are suppose to simulate HID. But than I just decided to go for the real deal. Has anyone installed HID or had it installed by dealer? Is it worth it?
Are you pleased with them? About how much can I expect to pay dealer install? And last did you get 8000k or 6000k, blue or white light?

Thanks

well, i call dealer where i bought my stang from. The guy that runs their accessory dept also has a stang. He told me that I could get HID (6000k) for $450.00 and that is including the installation. So guess I will do that.
I also bought a double bar strut tower brace from Steeda today. So far I have had installed on my stang: Magnaflow mufflers, wheels, paint protection($257). Soon I will have brace, HID installed.
Steeda told me today that they have a tuner for the v6 and come Oct. 1st, will have a CAI. So maybe next month I will get the CAI, tuner and then have the dealer install 3.73 gears. Underdrive pulley when those come out and then I will call it quits as that will be enough to give my stang a personnal touch.

http://www.ddmtuning.com/product.php?II=264 thats where I've always go to get my HID's from, not including my first set which were $300 from stangmods.com. The ddmtuning ones are much better than the $300 ones as well. Go figure.

I made the mistake with HIDs.. I have had DDM tuning, MMR, and some cheap a** ebay ones..

My next pair will be retrosolutions. They seem to have the best kit. I should have bought the best from the get go. The money I have spent for HID's could have boughten me 2 of those sets...

I'll give you my HID nightmare why I ordered would not buy a '11 w/o HID's.
I had the stangmod ones, heads and fogs, first the fogs fits so tight you had to pull grill to get to seat, the heads did not just twist in easy either and until my issue did not really notice they were a mount within a mount, what I mean is you have the part that locks into housing, then bulb locks into that housing , well come in one piece it looks so when was blindly reaching and twisting into housing I guess broke the center aka bulb loose, well cause so bright never noticed until about 2 months down road when was behind a car and one light seemed larger image than other and at night noticed a burnt wire smell but never in day so cause I was always under hood figured was a twist tie on motor, this was my '10 gt, but was cleaning oneday and bent well down and housing was discolored , so looked closer the hid was just hangiing was in even so turned on opened hood,,,lol best underhood light i ever had, melted housing, took to ford, $500 replace one housing, this is what my hid's looked like.
