Gears or not
I have the 2011 v6 Mustang and I understand that the gears are 2.73s. I belive the GT cars have 3.31 gears. Well I've always been kind of a hotrodder so I like that acceleration. Don't want to spend a lot of money cause the car is leased. Have thought about a tuner but I belive that a change to 3.31s would be the most bang for the buck. What do ya think guys any opinions?

Why I was interested in 3.31s is, I believe what was stock in the v6 last year. I also want to be able to drive this car on an interstate once in a while, so are the 3.55s or the 3.73s going to be two much for me. Thanks!

In the auto Rpm`s at 75 MHP as calculated thru a system with the 2011 auto gear ratios in it.
2.73-1740, 3.31-2150, 3.55-2265, 3.73-2377, 4.10-2617.
That is with 235-50 18 inch tires. Data is approximate and revs will be a little higher for 17 inch wheels w/ -50 tires.

I have 3.31 in my v6, had 3.73 in my '10 GT both are fine for highway driving, if you want that lower end kick and still have a nice highway gear 3.73, but the 3.31's work great for me down low and better on highway than 3.73, if thinking of a 4.10..... would not be good for highway, but down low would be boss.
