Default 2011 Muffler-less Compilation

After watching a short vid on Youtube I decided to make it my day off project to see what it sounds like in person. Here's the video I made and I'm on the fence on whether or not I'm gonna put the mufflers back on. Since it only takes about 40 minutes to take them off it was a worthwhile experiment.

Ya probably, but here in So. Fla there's so many loud cars they wont bother unless I give them other reasons to pull me over.

I would say sounds good, you could probably go to a muffler shop they could make you some extentions w/ chrome or paint high temp flat black out the rear would be cool. the extentions could be made as slip ons and secured w/ a clamp and a simple rubber hanger to comp. for vibration.

Any decent muffler shop could make slip-fit extensions to get the sound out from under the car, but they'd probably cut off the ball flange to do it and that would preclude putting any axleback system on later.

That said, I think it sounds good. raw, and loud.

And, for goodness sake, stop granny shifting.

Ya the cutting of the ball flange is what is keeping me from wanting to take it to a shop.

Ya there's no excuse for that kind of shifting, lol, I'll make sure to tighten that up.

I'm not feeling the love here, it almost resembles a fart-can like noise to my ears. I like a deeper more mellow tone rather than that rasp.

well you aren't getting a deep tone out of our '11 v6's, no matter what you do, it's going to sound like a hopped up beamer or 350Z nissan, at idle theres a little deep tone but step on it you'll get that euro sound,,,that's wht I'm keeping stock, 400 to 800 is not a good price for the little change in sound, you would be better just going mufflerless, but then who knows does that absence of back pressure confuse the computer, probably not, it most likely would adjust, spend the 400 to 800 on a tuner and a CAI system instead.

I have been pretty happy with the sound of the stock v6 especially with the tune . The sound has gotten louder as I drive it more and will still for a while.

However, it is my wife who wants more sound from the exhaust and who am I to dissapoint my wife. It is both stupid and unhealthy to do that. Sooooo I guess I`ll HAVE to invest in a new AB when I start driving it again this spring. So far, she likes the Magnaflo streets best among the sound clips we have heard. I guess I am lucky to have one who wants to hear that nice `11 v6 sound `cause I like it too.
