Default starting problem

2 weeks ago i took my 2011 v6 automatic to the carwash. After hanging over the keys the guys couldnt start it. I thought it was an alarm problem (viper) i disactivated the alarm and tried starting it myself. No luck, there was no cranking or no sign of it trying to start. Called my alarm guy. He came out and removed the viper unit. Wiring was back to original setup. Car still failed to start. While waiting for the tow truck i started smacking my key around a couple of times and gave it one last shot. Booom it turned on. Yesterday again the same problem after a hike. I shoulda been carrying my extra key after the first incident just in case but i didnt. Again i smacked my key around for a good hour and it started my car up.
Not sure if it is the key or sensor not working. Now i carry an extra key in a hidden location in my car.
oh forgot to mention i took my car into the ford dealer to get checked out and they couldnt find the problem.
Anyone have an idea whats going on?

I've heard of PATS keys getting deactivated by accident. Do your other key(s) start the car?

probably a faulty key, see if the other key works I would be pretty certain. Take it to the dealer.

Left it at the ford dealer for 3 weeks. Service advisor stated PCM (power control module) was bad and had to be replaced. Hope no one else goes thru this frustrating trouble if so here might be your answer.
