Default 73mm throttle body

bbk is taking pre-orders for throttle bodies on our 2011&2012 cars.

Stock we have a 68mm tb.Anyone thinking of getting one?
I think the price is a little high and I know some will say it is a waste of money.

Wow, that is quite a bit. How beneficial do you think the TB is compared to the stock one?

From everything I've read the intake and throttle body already can brng in more air than the engine can use.

not sure how beneficial it is in the real world.
bbk claims 10-15 rwhp!!??
most all cai and stock cai have a tube going into the tb sized @76mm.
stock tb is 68mm or bbk 73mm tb.
I would think it would help moving air in , but might need more exhaust.
It has been said that the 3.7L tb is a bottle neck.

Sure that's true. I'm mainly going by what Jay told me when he was developing the CAI. I can ask him about it again, but I do know that any thing larger will probably require a tune since te JLT runs right at the edge of needing one.

This probably won't be truly beneficial unless there is a CAI and Headers to get all the extra gain out, and probably Axle-backs at least.

Will the CAI's that are out now fit this?

I'm on the virge of buying a CAI, but if this is released and i need to buy a different size, i rather wait. it's a little high, but that's MSRP price. that , cai, headers, x-pipe, tune, and axle backs will make the v6 a nice little car.

I'm sure it gives a small 10-15 hp gain but would help if you had longtubes and a larger tb to help with air flow
