Default SCT tuner question.

Can I remove the top speed governor and adjust the speedometer for a gear change with the sct xcal 3 tuner (model 3015)? I have a manual transmission base V-6. I went to the SCT website and it said some models may not come with these features. Thanks in advance. I tried a search on this forum.

Yes you can. I know you can adjust the gears yourself, but I'm not sure if you can remove the governor yourself. A lot of the features in the SCT are locked only to dealers, so whomever writes your tune can load it up with whatever you want.

Or since you have a #3015, are you using the SCT canned tune? A solid email tune will make the car perform far better.
