Using Bama tunes?
Yeah from what I recall you were noticing some notable MPG gains each time you went up in octane(and appropriate tune).
I myself noticed a significant drop in average fuel economy when I dropped my 91 octane street tune back for stock for the winter. My average dropped from 20.3mpg with winter tires to 18.7 just by going back to stock. Of course my average fuel economy during the summer months was about 22.4mpg with a good amount of city driving and traffic during my commutes pretty much anywhere. And that's all spirited driving mind you.

Oh definitely. I think in real world driving the 93 octane tunes end up netting you worse mpgs simply because you will want to drive harder. I have just finished my last cycle with my 3.73 gears and can average just over 28mpg while using the 93 race tune. Now between test runs, I get about 22-23mpg. Realistically on the highway I get 25mpg simply because if I'm not careful I can be doing 90 like nothing.
I remember getting 29.22mpg on a trip to quebec city last year with the airaid and the 87 street tune I had that was later found to be causing issues at the time(thankfully 91 octane tunes work beautifully) while driving a constant 75mph with the AC on and the factory 3.31 gears.
Considering EPA highway mileage for a manual with 2.73 gears is 29mpg highway at 55mph, The numbers speak for themselves.
Can't wait to try the same trip again this summer with the 91 street tune.

I get the impression that you found the 93 race tune could yield more MPGs than the 93 street or 93 performance tunes.
So far, I can't seem to tell much difference in MPGs between all three 93 octane tunes. But, they are definitely all better than I was getting with the stock tune and 87 octane. If I really drive it easy, I can average around 27-30 mpg with any of the 93 octane tunes, and average 31 to 32 mpg on the highway at 70mph. If you do the math, that improvement warrants paying for 93 octane gas.
