thanks again hogasswild

"stock 18 x 8.5 rim with 235 pirelli tires weighs 55lbs each. The tire itself weighs 32lbs, rim alone is 23lbs."

"Tire rack list the tires at 29 lbs, and there was other thread that said the weight 58.3 lbs together. I just had my Konig zero-in and Continental's ExtremeContact DWS weight in at 41.1 lbs. . The wheels are 18x8 not 8.5"

"I weighed one of my MCA wheel/tires right after I got the car and it weighed 57.4 lbs (58.03 w/ lug nuts). So if the tire is 32 lbs, the MCA/Pony 18" wheels are 25.4 lbs each"

"PS tire and wheel with lug nuts from my 2011 mustang 3.7 with pony package 56.3 lbs. These are the 18x8 rims with 235/50/18 Pirelli tires. Tire rack list the tires at 29 lbs, 56.3-29=27.3 I would say the rims weigh about 27 lbs."

"Weighed the stock 235/50/18 AS perilli tires from the pony package rims weight was 31.8 lbs (tested 3 times). My summer conti DW 255/40/19 weight was 26.4 lbs so a nice weight savings for summer tires form AS.

RTR rims where something like 27.8 lbs so these are pretty comparable to the stock 18x8 pp rims."

"2011 GT 19"x9" +42mm offset Brembo package wheel ~26lbs
2011 GT 18"x8" +44mm Offset Standard
2011 V6 19"x8.5" +50mm offset Perf package wheel ~25.5lbs
2011 V6 17"x7" +40mm offset standard wheel
2011 V6 18"x8" +44mm offset pony package ~27lbs
2011 V6 18"x8" +44mm offset MCA package wheel~25.4lbs

19"x9.5" +33mm offset RTR wheels ~28lbs"

"I hope you're right on the Brembo package wheel. I picked up a set on ebay and I weighed one. It said it was 31 lbs without sensors or wheel weights"

Holy Toledo, someone needs to calibrate all them scales out there

"I now have on my car Konig Zero-in that weigh 16.5 lbs and Continental Extreme Contact DWS. My wheels and tires with lugs are 42 lbs, a savings of 14 lbs. The turn in is great, makes my old stock turned up like it was F150."
He must have been talking about 17" rims, the Konig Zero-In 18" rim weighs in a bit more then 16.4lbs

"Today i recieved my Black Gloss Ford Racing Brembo wheels. These are identical to the OEM hyper silver Brembo wheels found on the 5.0 when you order the brembo package.

Weight = 30.4lbs"
wow sounds awful heavy for a bare rim, what gives?

"I have Forgelines (and I'm a Forgeline dealer.....). They are 20 pounds each, fit is perfect but it should be as they are custom made. "

ok so there is tons of posts in those threads,, good read but a lot to sort through, but so far those Konig Zero-In rims seem like the lightest weight rims mentioned

I have been eyeing the Conti DWSs for when my Pirellis wear out. They'll save a few lbs per wheel.
