CAI/tune vs. axlebacks

CAI/tune vs. axlebacks
OK, I need a little advice. I am looking at a Airaid CAI with tune OR Borla Touring Axle-Back Exhaust. What I'd like to know is which would y'all consider a better upgrade and what kind of sound difference there would be between them. I'm not looking for a loud car but just enough to be noticed at like 2-3k. The Borlas would give me lots of sound but the CAI would give some sound plus I'd have the tuner. Please, no one suggest loud exhaust, the Borla Touring would be at least enough (if not too much).
Time is ticking as my coupon code for the Borlas runs out on Thursday (06/15) and otherwise, they're just more than I want to spend.

I decided to go with the CAI and tune. Got an Airaid and Bama tuner this week and installed this morning. Bit of a pain to install the CAI. It fit VERY tightly. Got it all on, installed the 87 street tune (very simple to install) and took a drive. Now she makes one scary monster kind of growl when you get on it. Well, scary for others, cool for me. I'll try the 87 performance tune some day but this is good for me for now. Seems she really takes off better, easier if you will. Problem is, now I'll want to drive her harder just to hear that wonderful growl.

That has been answered John Hance - if the tune causes the problem, then it is on your dime. Ford warranties the car that they built. When you modify it then it is no longer the car that Ford built.
But it you put a tune on the car and the radio goes out, then the tune didn't cause that problem. But if your engine goes because the tune caused you to over-rev, then it isn't Ford's fault.
