Default Question about automatic shifting

I have a 14 mustang with 2600 miles on it and ever since I bought it "used" with 2300 miles it seems that when slowing down into a stop, first gear seams to kick the car forward as it engages into it. Is this normal? I'm just a little paranoid as my last car had major transmission issues.

It happens just about every time when slowing down to a stop sign.

Hello Pr0cl1v1ty,

Have you addressed this with your local Ford Dealer? Your service manager is in the best position to ensure a proper diagnosis, and will be able to provide available options and/or coverage for any work needed.

You can schedule an appointment online here.

*facepalm*

"Bumping" is pointless. And lame.

If you are concerned about your vehicle take it to the dealer to be checked. Your car is obviously under warranty and anything said here would just be speculation since, you know, we aren't a mechanic in front of your vehicle.

So go bump your car to your dealer of choice.

FYI...I don't experience surge as you describe. I don't think it's normal!

Please let us know the outcome, my car does this too.

It bothered me enough to go test drive a 2014 V6 Auto with 3,300 miles, it did the same thing. There seems to be others experiencing the issue.

Many other owners on various forums are reporting the same issue but no one has reported a solution.

I still am reluctant to bring it to the dealer as they don't have weekend hours where I live and it's to much of a hassle to find a ride to and from work.

Actually bumping your thread once per day is fine. I pretty sure he's just asking in case others have gone through this so he can know what to expect. Kind of the reason for forums.
Still deff go to Ford. That surge doesn't sound right.

Mine does the same thing. I've just chalked it up to one of the many consistently reported Quirks with this car. I have noticed with a new tune it's no longer as apparent. I have also read other posts that having the dealer reflash the ecm remedies the situation.
