Default 351W/t5?

can i still use the stock t5 with the 351 or do i have to get a new trans cause i wont have the money right away to get the trans i want

It will work for awhile. In most cases as long as you don't put it on slicks it will be ok.

Yep. Will be fine. Mine is the original T-5 and it is still holding together.

yeah but your guys also probably have the 8.8 rear stock in my case i have the 7.5 stock since mine is an 84 but im not just going to put the engine in im doing c/h/i forged pistons a holy bunch of crap its going to be a beast so i dont know how well the trans will hold after that

wow i like it. doesnt seem to be much room to work under the hood. but it still looks nice i just added my domain to my sig check mine out if you want

Thanks for the kudos guys.

HackGT350, nope not any room at all for working on it. The propane carb is in the fender with the 12" K&N filter attached to the Anderson power pipe. Had to move the carb there as the blower at idle was causing the diaphram in the carb to bounce and the idle was erratic. So now it is before the blower and it is a rock solid idle. Throttle response is incredible!!! I had a 510 RWHP combo with a 306 and a SDS stand alone fuel system before, and this setup puts it to shame.


Nice project car ya got there. Go slow and do it right the first time. I didn't on my first engine (this is the 3rd) and I spent alot of extra $$$$ when I didn't need to. Have a game plan and stick to it and you will be happy.
