figured see if you guys had any thoughts

Lower intake manifold does not sit all the way down on to the block
is this right?
The bolt holes and intake runners all line up, just have this gap between intake and block

my 302 intake would sit down flush on the block

need one of those cork front and back gaskets??????????





Build up is coming along nicely

 

Yeah, that is normal

Just run a thick bead of silicone along the block before you install the lower intake.

Don't use the cork, as they can dislodge, and get mis-aligned during installation.
