Default AFR 185 question

Has anyone installed a set of AFR 185s on a stock 351w?
I am looking at a few 351w and was wondering if the heads will fit with outhaving to install new notchedpistons. Im trying to do a budget project right now. I will be doing a rebuild later when I have more time.

Default RE: AFR 185 question

roblarss,
my Edelbrock RPM heads with 2.02"/1.60" valves, had novalve-to-piston clearance issueswhen I had my stock cam and pistons. However, obviously the AFR's and Eddy heads are very very different.

when you get the heads,it's super easy to check your clearances (should be an automatic practice anyways!).

Default RE: AFR 185 question

I will have to for sure check the clearances before I do anything. Im just looking at using the engine stock until I have enough time to do a rebuild on it. May have to do a rebuild before I do anything I guess.
