then get a job on your birthday
either way i am saying that 7.5 is not and was never a good axle. it just wont cut the job, sure its great for a stock 2.3, but this about it, 5.8 is 3.5 more then 2.3
it wont sustain itself on hope and dreams alone

dude the motor ur trying to build will be nasty, nodoubt. but the rest of the car will keep u from ever finding out. that 7.5 will die so quickly, and the tranny will need some work for a 408w. i think u might wanna wait just a little till u replace everything first then go ahead with the 408. jmo

you have an unstroked 351w, it hasnt been built to a 408 yet[&:]

dude with that big motor you will need a bigger torque converter, it may work fine if you dont stroke it, but with a 408 it will idle too high and not even flooring the break will stop you completely. and just take my work for it, you may not go out of control when you break that axle, but theres always a possibility that something bad could happen, take my word for it, the 7.5 is NOT enough for a 351 or a 408. theres a reason the STOCK 2.3's were given a 7.5 and the STOCK 5.0's were given a 8.8 in your years. if cant even handle a 302, why do you think it would handle a 351 nonetheless a 408?
