Default 351 vs bigblock fox..?

well thanks to someone totaling my car a week ago(5/18/07 RIP) when i had 98% of my built motor parts ready to be assembled and swapped...on to topic

considering taking the check and buying a fox roller and either doing a 408 or a ~514 ci 460 based

which ever route i go these will be for sure
trans will be automatic, will definitely be EFI, will be sprayed, will be driven on the street but in alabama so no emissions etc. car will go out late saturday nights on occasion[8D] and will go to the track

thinking 4bolt windsor block(sportsman?) or some kind hooked to a built 4r70w trans

i don't know alot about pushrods, previous car was a mod motor 4.6, unfortunately they don't make any overhead cam motors with greater than 330 CI which just isn't enough for me if i'm starting over from scratch, so any suggestions?

and handling/road race isn't a concern, all it will do is cruise around and go fast in straight lines

I would go with the big block but I think you will have have lots of trouble with finding a EFI system for the big block and if you know were you can get a system I would like to know. I'am putting a carbed 460 into my car

some of the later model ford trucks came with a fuel injected 460, you could snag the fuel injection system of it and add bigger injectors etc i imagine

is there an electronic lock up trans that bolts to a fe/385 series motor? i wish so badly i could use a 4r70w but i don't think there is a single one with the correct bellhousing or adaptors for it

i would like to get 10-15 mpg from the car along with the insane power, that way i can drive it to and fromt he track/street races without having to trailor it, and should **** happen and my beater die i can drive it to and from work for less than a grand round trip for a few days

its not like the 460 is going to fit under the hood anyway... so who cares?
