Default possibly starting my windsor project?

Hello all in the windsor section, i have been up and down with deciding what engine to put into my fox in its down time, anyways i stumbled across some 351s on sale on ebay and was thinking of buying a short block and then building from there, it says it isnt meant for a roller cam, is there a conversion kit? and what would my numbers be if i were to lets say bolt on a nice set of afr heads maybe the 205cc, matching cam, and edlebrock intake manifold with supporting mods? thank you

you can put a roller cam in, but you need link bar lifters....

205's are a very large head, you will definitly wanna go custom cam, contact Jay Allen from www.camshaftinnovations.com

if i go this route i probably would use a custom cam but, is just grabing any windsor block pretty much a ok start? sorry for the delay my computer has been down, im looking to make close to 500 hp and money isnt exactly a issue cause its going to take a while to build but i dont want to spend that much maybe a budget of 3500 or 4 grand?... what kind of numbers can i make with supporting modifications?

Yes you will need a conversion. No 205's are not too large if you up the compression and go with a custom grind cam like stated above.

i was just throwing that size head out there didnt really look into what the best combo was was hopeing you guys could help me out, but more importantly is just grabbing a windsor a good start cause there are remanufactured short blocks on ebay that are fairly reasonable or would you get a motorsport block persay?
