Default roller conversion confusion

ok...where to start

i definatly want to go with a conversion for my new engine build. but there are so many lifter choices. i am sure i want a hydraulic roller lifter, but which one? any with the link bars will work, right? what is the dog bone thing? which is better link bar or the dog bone? why the hell are they so expinsive? after i do the conversion i can use any hydraulic roller cam, right? how are the newer roller blocks made anyway?

help please...part numbers would be nice.

you can't use ANY, you have to use the cams that are conversion friendly
