Default GT40p heads

i actually have a couple questions.
but to start off with can i and should i put gt40p heads off an explorer on my 351w?

Sure - just need to drill out the head bolt holes to 1/2". I set mine on a piece of plywood and drilled them in the press in two steps..

There's quite a bit of information on these if you look around a little.

+1 you do need to drill them, but they can and should be used. Gt40/40p stuff is great for cheaper builds.

ok great.thats what im doing..a cheap build.so just drill the holes out to 1/2in.

no cause they will still be to wide considering it is a 351. it would be the same as bolting up a set of stock 351 heads on the block. you will still need a 351 lower. and you will need a 351 distributer since the bearing on the 351 is bigger than the 302.

i understand..but i dont.lol sorry im new at all this and always learning.soo if the gt40 heads came off a 302...and a lower intake was bolted up to that..why wouldnt it work now?

the deck on the two blocks are different and that is where it comes in.
