351w build up

RE: 351w build up
YeaCleveland headswill work with some mods and the correct "hybrid" intake.
The pistons will need Cleveland valve reliefs. Pistons made for a Cleveland engine share the same bore of 4", but I am unsure of the compression height, if the compression height is the same or could be made to work with a different rod length, the logical thing to do would be to co with Cleveland slugs.
I will see if I can find the correct compression height of the pistons and post back here.
<<The compression height for the Cleveland pistons is 1.65, and Windsor pistons are 1.739, so they will not swap over without a different rod length.
"Cleavor" motors are common enough that there is quite a bit of info for them. Check the FAQ in the classic section there are someCleavor links there.

yea they will work and ive heard the best combo for big power is clevland heads on a windsor block all you have to do is have a machine shop drill 3 holes in each side of the block for water ports to the heads.

I dont think Cleveland heads will work on a winsor block.

I have a few articles, as I was doing this swap also. Changed my mind when I got a killer deal on a 408 kit.

Use the 2v heads if a street car. But if building a high HP drag car 4v heads all the F'in way. Also Its going to want to rev high. Build it forged!
