Default 225 or 205 cc heads?

Ok so i am building a 408 out of a 351w. I am looking for the car to be more of a weekend warrior than a daily driver, and it will also be carb. my question is will a 205 cc port be better than a 225 cc port? im looking at this one right now....

http://www.buyafr.com/index.php?main...;products_id=2

but im not sure if i should go with the 225, if it would be too big, i dont think going bigger would be bad, but im sure it would make more power. let me know what u guys think or if u need more info on the motor.
Thanks!!!!

if you go too big than you will lose power over being smaller. get the 205s. unless you are planing on supercharging or turboing the 408. and a 750 or 800 would be good.

Strokers like to BREATH! Give it the air it needs. Get the 225 heads. That stoker needs it, Especially if its a weekend warrior!

225's would feed a 408 nicely ............ with the right cam.

Get with a custom cam guy on your cam specs ......... THEN choose the head.

There you have it, Three good oppinions stating to use 225cc heads. Why limit such an engine with 205 heads! Use the 225's for best power! Get a custom cam ,Don't use some OTS cam that will also limit power!

I dont recall you saying anything about having a cam. Buy the 225's and then get a cam to suit your needs. A custom grind would be your best bet. Even if you do have a cam and if it's not a good fit for the bigger heads i would still replace the cam. You would spend less replacing the cam rather than upgrading heads in the future. Not to mention the more power you will make.

Talk to Jay, He will hook you up with a great set of heads, And a great cam, But the heads will come with the correct springs and all! See you might buy the AFR heads, But the cam may require different springs, So talk to Jay Allen from camshaft Innovations! Or log onto sbftech.com and talk to him threre!

Good lyuck and dont be cheap with an engine like that!
