Default 302 to 351

My 302 has started to burn some oil and is in need of a rebuild. I was going to just clean the walls and go to a 306 but then a budy of mine told me he would give mea 351 block for free. And everyone has heard that there is no replacement for displacement. So my question or questions are how much work is it to drop a 351 in. And how many of the parts (Heads, Intake, TB, Headers) and if the t5 i have would bolt up to it. If any could help or make suggestions I would appreciate it. Thanks

Almost ALL your 302 parts will work. The headers andlower intake wont. But upper intake, Heads, cam, Trans, mostly everything else.

Straight bolt in swap, Use the 5.0 wiring harness also! 5.0 CPU.... You get the point!

i dont think the intake or cam will work, or the headers. everything i see is for 289-302 OR (seperate part) 351w

The lower intake wont work, But the upper will work when bolted to a 351w lower. The cam from a 302 will work in a 351. The headers wont work due to the extra width and height!

Decent set of heads and some highercompressionpistons with a cam to match can go along way with a winsor. Something to think about

figure complete heads for a grand
headers 500-650
cam 70-150
lower intake 200 at the most
pistons 300-500
block machine work 150-300
gaskets 75
misc other 500

shade under 3 grand and you got a ripper for the stang

yeah 302 parts will make NO power in that 351w. But like stated, get a set of heads, higher C/R piston...

Is it you thathas the GT40 heads? I would Use those, But get them ported, and cleaned up.... Also the lower intake $200, Slugs w/rings- $300 (Ebay for cheap KB ones), Gaskets $100, Machine work-$300.... The list goes on.
