experience needed
I know this question is asked very frequently, but I have an 86 t-top 5.0 5spd that i cant get a title for because the title on it is so messed up, I was gonna restore it but now have decided to switch over everything on it into my 88 2.3 automaticnotchback. I figure if im gonna make it carbureted i might as well spend a little extra money and go witht the 351 W.I dont want a radical build on the 351. 240-275 ponnies would be good enough for now. Someday i would like to stroke it and all that jazz.
I was wondering if anyone has done this swap that could tell me about the major issues im gonna run into. Im swapping everything out of my 5.0 into the 2.3 likebrakes, suspension, axles, tranny, steering...the whole works, im using everything but the 5.0
I know the real obvious things like the oil pan and headers and a hood if i dont get the solid motor mounts. But I dont know things like if i need to switch control arms or fuel lines or a different flywheelor if I need to build anything up for more strength, anything that might be overlooked until im comparring the cars side by side.
I know this is a very popular question and any tips, advice, or knowledge would be a big help in getting as many kinks worked out beofre they become big setbacks. Even if you guys wanna send me links to websites with info that would be great.
