Default lifter questions??

i bought some roller lifters off ebay for cheap but when i got them i noticed that 8 of themwhere offset where the pushrod sets. is this correct? why would they be offset? seems like they would be centered on the lifter?will these lifters work for me?
thanks

oh i forgot to mention these are solid roller lifters with link bars for a 351w engine i am building.

clevelands dont run an offset lifter in stock style configuration, he has a lifter totally useless to him

there must be some use for them or they wouldn't make an offset lifter for a SBF.

I would contact the seller. the lifters are of no use to you, and it was misrepresented in the listing. I have never needed an offset lifter on any windsor engine...ever...i have used them them in a cleveland I built a while back.
