My dad has a 351 windsor at work and took it out of a old 87 f-250 work truck for his boss. The engine shop he took it to took it apart and noticed the exhuast valve were kinda mushroomed. where the rocker presses on it at. They asked him if he had the little caps for the exhuast valves. My question is are these things real? Iv'e never came across anything like this in any engine that i have torn down and rebuilt and was just wondering if this guy is blowing smoke. any input would be great. If they are real where can i get these caps.

 

yeah there real. had to get new ones for my father-in-law because his got lost when his windsor was apart. not sure exactly where to buy them a pal of mine had them ayin around from a past project the never seen daylight
