What is the largest bore that can be safely done in a production 351 block??

I think .400" would be a bit extreme... lol

The standard .060" shouldn't be an issue, but due to the chance of core shift during casting of the block, you may want to have the wall thickness checked?

I wouldn't overbore a stock block looking for power though.

What year block are we talking about?

ive read 4.00 and 4.030 were max dia. but i have no factual basis for that...

It is an 87 block bored 060. i know there are .125 bores out there i just wasnt sure how much extra material was added to allow. Im refreshing mine and was just trying to CMA if when it got re-honed it took the piston to cyl wall gap out of specs.

the 4.125 bores you will find is an aftermarket block, no windsor is going 4.125
