I did remove the heater box and sound deadener to save some weight.

Best to date is 10.74@128 on engine with 26 inch slicks. I drive this thing everywhere. Really fun car and very low maintainence. The car weighs 3250 with driver. Only thing I would change is going 4V heads worked over propperly.

What about the low end? Did the 2v heads help? I have the 4v heads.

I like the 4V closed chamber heads better. With the right selection of parts and the right drive line choices it will out perform what I have built down low and in the upper RPM range. I know this because I have done a couple 4v set ups for Clients. Wish I would have did a 4V in mine now. My car would have the same manners with more mid and upper power. Oh well, hind sight is 20/20.

so do any of you guys go a 460 in your fox? i would love one. i think thats the route i'm going with this 90 lx. it won't be modded like my 93 5.0. just a stock 460 from a friend of a friend out in california real cheap. carbureted. i am going to put a new suspension on it because the one it has on it now is the original stock parts with 147k miles and shot to chit. i got some 4;30s from my buddy for christmas for my 93. i'm gonna just put the 5;20s i had in the 93 in the 90. no power adders really on the soon to be 460 fox.

Havent owned a 460 Fox body but have built a few of them. Pretty simple swap and you can buy a complete kit to do the swap.

A stockish 460 will get its *** handed to it by a proper small block. I ran a 557 in my 85, the only time I would do a 460 based engine is if it was making in excess of 700hp

460 in a fox. Havent done it yet, but its on the long list of projects im planning.

Just got to find the right doner car.

Heres some info that'll help you if you decide the 460 route, and if you want keep it stock and save up, with good heads and a little work you can make some good power.
