Default GOTTA BIG QUESTION....

Has anyone ever seen a fox with a 351 modified/400 big block stuffed under the hood? I know that I have seen the common 460, 429, 428, ect but never 351/400M under the hood I checked youtube and no results..... Just curious because I have a big block sittin out side right now and an 87 fox just pondering the possiblities? any help will be greatly appreciated.

Its possible but never really done because there is no where near the amount of performance mods around for it as there are the 302 and 351. For the money of the parts you can mod the 302 to make more power.

probably because the 351m is a boat anchor and not worth the time to swap into a fox lol

Most likely wouldnt be worth putting in considering all the other options.

Also, make your giant sig smaller, 500x250 is the size....

Lots of mis information here. LOL 351M/400 is from the 335 series SMALL BLOCK FORD ENGINE FAMILY. Built right, it will rock. More so if it is 400 inches(hello 4 inch stroke crank small block from the factory) Can you say"already a stroker small block"

i have heard of a couple people doin the 400m. Personally I think you would have more luck with a 351w. The bellhousing on a 400m is different than 302 I believe, and you will most likely have to put more money into it to go just as fast as a well built n/a 351w

You can make 500 ft lbs of torque and 400 HP with the factory 400 heads non ported. Just a cam, intake, carb and headers with the correct parts selection.

Try that with factory 351w heads non ported.

Because people do not know much about them. Given a little research, you will see the potential of these engines.

What does a 408 Windsor have in common with the 400 Ford small block 335 series engine?

Both have a 4 inch stroke, both have the same bore spacing, both have the same size main bearings.

Which one has a stroker crank? Which one has a stock crank?

This add says big block. Again this is misinformation. But it looks like it fits in there fine.
