Does any one know if the motor mounts on a stock 4 cylinder are the same as the motor mounts that came on the 302's? My car used to be a 4 cyl before the 351swap and i am wondering if that is part of the reason its hitting. Regardless I am buying the new motor mounts but i would still like to know if they are different.

Get a solid steering shaft. It eliminates that rag joint b/s.

As for motor mounts, I think the K-member is the same but the mounts themselves are different. Not 100% sure though.
