wassup my name is rich. just signed up to the site about 45 secs ago and i need help. i have a 87 lx and i just bought a 69 351w... i want to take it to 408 and make about 425-450 on pump gas. i need help with parts info and direction. this is my first ford engine. im new to this so any and all info is welcome

 

the 351w section doesnt get much traffic, and not saying anything bad on the engine builders on here but you might have better luck on sbftech.com they have some really smart people. other than that i would talk to woody at fordstrokers.com and jay at camshaftinnovation.com
its fairly easy to make a 408 make 450hp, some decent heads, cam, and intake, the cam wouldnt even have to be custom. i would think some TFS fast as cast heads, you would want atleast 200CC i would assume, a dual plane like the rpm air gap would be good, and not sure on the cam. but its fairly easy to do
