Default 351 p/s bracket

for those who have done the swap is this bracket the same that is used in the a/c delete kit for the 302? I already have the a/c delete and this looks the exact same.

I have not done the swap in a mustang. I have gone between a 351 and a 302 in my pinto and found most parts had no issues. I would say to try it. Worst case, you try and it does not work, you order the part and wait for it.

If it mounts to the heads, it will be a little further away from where it was before (about an inch up and over) If it mounts to the lower half of the block (from the pan to the top of the water pump), there should be no difference at all

ok, there is what I wasn't thinking about. It goes from the timing cover to the heads so it does have to span across a little more space. I know you have to have the crank spacer so I was on the part of pushing it out farther. But that part goes on the front of the setup anyway so it doesn't matter how far out it has to go.

Thanks for making me think more about it!

if it goes from the timing cover to the heads, it will not work. The 351 has a taller deck and moves the heads away from the timing cover. You may need to invest in the new part
