Default 5.8 EFI???

I have a 5.8 EFI motor that I got in a storage unit that I bought, I am not sure what it was used for, but the previous owner had old Mustang parts everywhere, it also has a big Aluminum part on top that I dont have a clue what is for, one of my friends said it could be a super charger, another said it looks like an induction system. I am curious because the engine has fresh paint on it, all of the spark plugs and filter look brand new, and there are rags plugging all of the other holes which leads me to believe that the gentleman had rebuilt it, just before he passed away. I am hoping someone can help me find out what exactly this motor fits or what it was intended for. I have pics that I can email, but I can't figure out how to attach the pics to this thread. Anyone who might know can reply or send me an email, and I could send you pics for you to get a better look. Thanks for the help

use photobucket so you can post pics. once you post pics im sure everyone here will be able to tell you what youve got.

as far as what its used for, you can put a 5.8 in just about anything. 351 swap is really common in mustangs

Clean *** rebuild...

351w truck engine.... You will need to remove that intake manifold to use it in your car.

let me know if you ever want to get rid of the truck intake. I wouldn't mind swapping a 351W into my Bronco.
