it is all about the tune hypers. Yes can take some power BUT get the tune off and they are not as forgiven as the forged. I have seen a few engines with hypers. start smoking and have mysterious blow by for no real reason and the ring lands busted out of a piston( wrong ring gap I am sure) but I did not build them but did see them when they were torn apart the reason I dont care for the hypers. Could they have been put up wrong sure and may have been but for a bit more money I will stay with the forged.
As for the rods like I said I have seen lots of HP made on them but I have seen lots fail I would up for the cash for the rods but thats me. A good rod is never a waste of money stock rods redone with good bolts I think are a waste when the aftermarket rods are stronger and come with good bolts and are some times less money then having the stock ones redone. Not talking of H beams. but more of the I beam. as far as price. IMO

OP that turbo should work pretty good on a 351.

Agree 100% if the extra money allows by all means upgrade. as far as a tight budget the stock rods work pretty good!
