Default Which way do I go?

I have a 92 lx hatch. I am wanting to get the car into the six second range running on eigth mile track. Should I build a 302 based motor or go with a 351 base.

well, if you have a DOHC 5.0L 4 valve 2011+ engine i'd say just put a supercharger or n2o on it and you should be in the deep 6s if not 5.9 with 600-650whp in a 92lx hatch... if you are talking about a different engine you might want to try the 1979-1995 section.

On a side note, the 351 is back!!!!
Well, in modular form, its incarnation is the 5.8L supercharged DOHC engine in the 2013 GT500, codenamed Trinity.

650 BHP crank and 600 ft-lbf crank straight from the factory. Way damn impressive power from an engine whose engine short block is loosely the dimensions of small block engines.
Translation: big block power from small block displacement
