I mean 190bux for an LSD is cheap, but how much is the install, cuz I feel it may be risky doing that by myself

 

Typical install is 250-325. Though most I saw are 300. Keep in mind if you do gears, most shops will charge you 300 to do both, since they are so integrated. That is why people save up, get the gears and LSD togather.

 

Also, I would get a refferal from your local mustang club on shops that do quality work.

what tranny do you have, if its a 5 speed, 4.10s, hands down in a t-5, are you really going to complain over loosing 2 mpg? if its an auto, well thats a bit more controversial

 

I bought my gears and t-lok off of ebay for $200 and had them installed for $400. Great place in Riverside called Diffwerks off the 91.

 

Seems just a bit on the high side... I paid around $840 for 3.73's, an Auburn limited slip, install kit, installation and dyno time to recalibrate the speedo.
