Default Stock HP/TQ

Hey this has probably been asked before but i couldnt find the thread so im gonna ask it anyways. Since i don't have access to a dyno nor the extra green to spend on it im wondering what the stock dyno numbers are for an 05 Automatic Coupe. If anyone has em id appreciate your input because all i could ever find is the numbers from the crack which ford gives out.

Like you, I have a 4.0L/auto with a GT take-off muffler. This past Saturday, I did before and after dyno pulls (Mustang dyno). The only difference was an Evolution Performance 93 tune (xcal2) and a C&L CAI intake. My stock numbers (w/GT muffler) were 180 rwhp and 211 ft/lbs of torque. Fred @ Evol said the muffler probably gave me 8 hp, so stock would about 172 rwhp.

BTW, my after-run was 190 rwhp, and 220 ft/lbs of torque, but that was with zero miles on the new speed equipment (they installed it for me while the car was still strapped down on the dyno). The car's PC really did not have time to "learn" how to run with the new intake. With a few miles on it now, the car feels stronger today than when I pulled out of the shop. I plan to do one more pull again, but first I wanna take it to the track!

Here's a completely stock automatic right from the dealership:

This is 100% stock vs stock + X-Cal2 (www.alternativeauto.com)

Ya its 210hp and 240 tq at the crank. To the wheels i think it was something like 175-180hp and 205-210tq. Not sure how accurate it is but its still not that bad of numbers. But after im done with it it shall be more then that

Running on a dyno is alot like running at a track - all kinds of variables come into play:[ul][*] There are at least two different types of dynos. I think numbers from a Mustang Dyno are lower than the other type.[*] Weather conditions like heat, humidity, and barametric pressure will affect your car's performance on a dyno.[*] Operator error (it happens).
[/ul]

All these factors contribute to there being a range of dyno numbers out there, even on a "stock" car.
