Default Exhaust ?

I have a 4.6, but my fiance has a 2006 4.0 v6. I want to know if adding a catback will yield any performance results, or would it just change the sound. Also would she se any gains from simply changing the muffler to a flowmaster, magnaflow, etc... What do you guys recommend?

even with a gt take off muffler youll see 6-7 hp and mrt makes like 8-10. So just a muffler swap will do. Catback duals dont make much more gain than just changing the muffler maybe 1-3hp. So really all you need is a single. MRT is really loud single. Also peopel seem to like the flowmasters

Thankyou petepete. So apparrently the major restriction in the exhaust of these cars happens to be the muffler? Weird cause on my 03 gt changing the mufflers do nothing but make it sound better.

scrming only has a mrt muffler on and supercharged running at 313rwhp i think. The word is that the stock pipes are very good just the muffler sucks

yep and install is easy dont even need to lift it if you dont want. Just unbolt the hangers and clamp put the new muffler in boly back. You only need a 13mm and 15 mm wrench and should only tk emaybe 30 min- 1 hour
