Whats your opinion on headers ?? I have Magnaflow with H pipe. Do headers improve sound or performance worth the $$

The best thing I've seen on this is the Six Appeal article in Mustang Enthusiast. They got a 17.7 HP (and 10 ft/lb of torque) by installing JBA headers and H-pipe True Duals. The cost of the headers (about $600) and duals (about $600) was about $1200, that's about $67.80 per HP. Note, this represents the HP increase over the stock single exhaust with no other modifications.

Doesn't the axle back MRT kit give about the same gains for only about $225?

I think scrming reported a 17hp gain with an MRT i think i read that on his webpage. Someone told me though if you dont have alot of mods then headers dont make that much of a difference. I saw a dyno somewhere where they only gained about 3-5hp with the headers. That could always been just adding headers but not sure.

From what I seen so far(N.A) I don't think they are worth it.

The sound I can't comment on haven't heard them in person just a few sound clips in the past I need to hear them in person.

Yep you did get a small performance biproduct you ran a 14.59 before the headers then a 14.53 on your next trip to the track after the header install from what I remember. I was watching that one I wanted to see the difference, I wonder how they would help with FI rwhp wise.

ya. 6 hundredths but on different weeks. it was also a lot warmer the 2nd week, but along with the headers, i also had a custom dynotune (total of 6rwhp gain).

all in all, id say the only "gain" from headers would be above 5500 rpm (not much time spent there). when my car is at the track, it definately doesnt feel like it wants to stop pulling.

after i get my turbo on, ill take another trip to my friends dyno, just to get some numbers.
ex13 hit 328rwhp on a mustang dyno with 9.5 psi.
their gas out there is a lot better than ours here. They also get 93, and we only get 91 (and crap 91)

im hopin for bout 330-340rwhp on similar boost on a dynojet.

So than 6/100's could have come from the tune and zero performance from the headers but also agree on the weather with you. Not knocking the headers just trying to see what the real world gains are.

IMO this 4.0 about mid third gear to the top of third the car does not pull very well I think a set of cams (cut for mid range) alone could put this car in the high 13's, I also think to myself maybe larger injectors but I know it most likely won't make a difference.
