DTE FLI DATA ERROR ?????!!!!!!
has anyone gotten this message before? all the gauges go to zero, parking brake light stays on, blinkers don't make any sound when turned on, etc. Car seems to run fine but the computer seems to have gone bananas. i do have a Diablo tune installed. does this have anything to do with it? this is actually the second time this has happened. the first time, i re-stored the stock tune and that did not change anything so i disconnected the battery then reconnected and that seemed to fix everything. all gauges and lights went back to normal so i re-installed my diablo tune and all was well as before. BUT THEN, i got the error again today so i disconnected the battery and reconnected it. it seemd to have worked yet again but now my check engine light is on and stays on. ANY SUGGESTIONS BEFORE I MAKE AN APPOINTMENT WITH THE DEALER? THANKS!!
I havent' had to do this yet but it sounds to me like your MCU is in need of a re-boot!
Disconnect the car's battery for 15 minutes, then re-connect.
If that doesn't do the trick, remove the performance program and re-install the stock program.
Once the stock program is re-installed, repeat the re-boot procedure.
See if that squares it away.
If that doesn't do it then your MCU is starting to spit the dummy and probably needs to be changed out for a good one.
Re-programming can ruin the MCU sometimes. That's the way it is with any flash programmable processor as found in millions of different kinds of products.
Good luck!

Hi,
I had the same error shortly after getting a Peripherals GEN2 iPod adapter installed in my 2006 GT convertible with Shaker 1000 head unit. It took me a while to associate the error with the adapter, but it seems to be the root cause. I unhooked my iPod a few weeks ago (didn't even need to yank the adapter from the head unit) and no errors since.
