need some tips on exhaust and headers
05 v6, i wanna change the headers and the exhaust and put in an air intake.
i was looking at some borlas (i wanna try keeping it single as much as possible) and K&N's. i really dont know about the headers, so if you guys have some tips on headers and exhausts you've put in and have helped give the car a nice deep growl and some power, let me know.

RE: need some tips on exhaust and headers
I've talked with some of the tuning specialists and they are of the impression that our cars only get a very minimum horsepower increase from headers. I was just like you. When I got my '05 that was one of the first things that I wanted to do to it. Unless you have some type of forced induction system, it doesn't sound like headers will be of much if any benefit. Might want to take the plunge on a Xcal2 and CAI though.

I would 2nd that. The headers dont really do much unless u got the f/i so i wouldnt go that route unless you got extra money to spend. Now the SCTII and Cold Air Intake is the best thing you can pry do to improve the cars performance next to a super or turbo charger. Then i would go with just a single axel back exhaust like a magnaflow, mrt, flowmaster, borla or jba. Or if you even wanted to just buy a set of 05-7 Mustang GT Take Off Mufflers (both are cheaper then 1 axelback from those companies) for a simple cost efficient gain in sound and power.

do you know about how much the SCTII would cost and a good cold air intake system?
also, another question, i've looked at flowmaster and magnaflow...magnaflow's didnt really sound like they did much of change in sound.
but thanks a lot man.
