the "tree trunk" you refer to in this scenario is 5x weaker than the "twig"
i've heard of multiple 4.0 driveshafts blowing up just above the speed limiter whiel i haven't heard of any gt driveshafts blowing without huge amounts of power. so please explain to me how the 4.0's driveshaft that ****ing vibrates at 110+mph and will not last past 130 is stronger than the gt driveshaft.

Igo to a lot of Mustang forums and the only one I have read about is afixer's so if you could post some linksI really like to read up on the info on how and when it happened in thier case.

I also recall somebody on this forum getting his car dyno'd after getting a cai/tune and they went above 120 for some reason and the driveshaft exploded. He seemed happy about it, but idk why

Yeah, I think Afixer is the only guy I've heard of. That's enough for me. The GT Driveshaft is heavier and made out of several pieces. Depending on the year, our driveshaft is a solid piece but lacks a clip or something that could lead to the driveshaft coming apart at high speeds because of extreme vibration. It doesn't actually explode though.

i beleive we have a two piece driveshaft and afixer, along with somebody on here that just had bolt ons (intake and tune as someone previously mentioned), and someone else i heard of on other forums have blown them to pieces. This is a MAJOR reason our speed limiter is so low. our driveshaft is ****.

Ocd03gro could post what forums(or a link would be nice) I could do a search I would really like to read about it like I said Afixers is the only one I read about and I go toa lot of 05Mustang forums. When afixers blew it didn't blow into pieces from what I remember reading the u-joint gave out at the rear of the drive shaftdue to no u joint clip designandis what happened isit dropped while on the dyno its not common but this canalso even happen to othercars at the trackwhich is thereason for drive shaftsafety loops.

If anyone else could post a link other than afixerswould appreciate it.
TIA

It is a single piece, I just saw mine when it was removed. 4 bolts on either end of a solid shaft.

somebody JUST toar theirs apart with bolt ons recently....it was somebody that had a big time tuning issue....they were complaining about their brenspeed tune i beleive, and when they went to go get it dyno tuned, they blew it at like 125.
