Default MRT muffler

OK i just got my 05 used mustang and was thinking of getting a MRT aeroturbine axle back for her.

I am wondering is this muffler deep or does it sound real ricey.

I know its loud but i was just wondering if it is real ricey.

Idk, i've heard mixed reviews on it. I have heard a flowmaster AT in person, and it was pretty throaty and loud, but never a MRT in person.

like LL88 said, there's plenty of mixed reviews.

a lot of people have their own take on the exhaust. you'll hear some say euro tuner...almost similar to an M3 (my belief) and others say it's a fart can, or ricey.

at idle, it is the BEST sounding muffler, while keeping a single, on the market for our V6. as the engine revs, it loses an american muscle sound.

here's my car before and after

here's a pretty good sounding in car

it does sound like a banshee though. i personally don't think it sounds ricey. you gotta be pretty screwy to get a rice sound out of a 6.

+1. If you are looking for a "muscle" sound, the mrt doesn't do it...but i didn't buy the 4.0 as a muscle car because it is NOT a muscle car. Our cars have a very unique sound because of being a very large v6. It personally think the aero-turbine uses that sound very well. It sounds like nothing else, but like said above, it sounds more like a european sports car than anything else.

kinda reminds me of this, but the mrt is deeper. I love the sound, but if you are expecting it to sound like a muscle car it wont.

my friend just put the borla axle back on and its not too loud, a little to quite for my preference, but it does souds very deep, probobly the closest you will get to that muscle car sound.
