I have Pypes X-pipe with mid pipe and bought two GT takeoff mufflers. The only problem is the clamp that Pypes sends with the kit. It's not that good as far as quality. If you go that route, you need to purchase another clamp that holds your mid pipe to the x-pipe.

To be honest if Ford had offered their V6 X-Pipe kit back in May, I would have purchased that. It comes with everything you need and it is quality made plus you get a warranty from Ford.
If you know someone who can purchase it for you at wholesale, it will save you a lot of $$$, Here's the link to the Ford part;

You only need one more clamp because you have the other clamp on your car.

Installation varies. Expect to pay anywhere from $80-250.00. If you cut the bumper yourself, it could save a little $ or you can buy a GT takeoff bumper. Many of us on here have made the cut out and like they way it looks.

The cut out is easy to do, and you can download the template from the Pypes website (www.pypesexhaust.com) - just make sure you print it full size.

I used a box cutting knife and then sanded the edges. Others have used the dremel tool. The cover material is soft and easy to cut through - and you don't have to disassemble anything to cut it.

thanks for the headsup JimC. i got another question- would adding an intake and an exhaust mess up my stang? would i have to buy a tuner to adjust to the aftermarket products?

If you add an intake then you likely need a tuner - there are a few intakes out that don't require a tune, but they also don't give you any performance enhancements probably. Exhaust alone won't require a retune.

The tune and CAI will really wake up your Mustang. If nothing else, get rid of the throttle lag by going with a tune.
