lca+uca vs 3.73+lsd
I'm having problems deciding what to do next. Which do ya'll think I should go after next.
I keep thinking I'll get the gears and locker next then I look at catalogs and find myself counting money to see if I can afford lcas or an uca or maybe both. I'm not really sure which will be cheaper since I can't find tloks online for some reason, and I'm having real traction issues at the track. Drag Radials unfortunately aren't an option as I have nowhere to keep the rims while I'm not racing and my wife doesn't want anything like a set of rims + tires sitting around anywhere

I'd suggest going for gears and T-Lok first. You can add LCA's later for <$150, and they are a DIY project. Unless you plan to pound the track regularly, you could probably hold off on the UCA for a while. DR's are a great addition too, cuz there's no use modding the heck outa the car if all you're gonna do is spin. However, you need to make sure the Mrs. is on-board with the storage issue first

Gears and t-lok

Find a shop to do the install.. and they will give you a price for parts and labor. It costs from $400-$800 depending on where you go.

i voted for gears and LSDalso. thats on my mod hit list for spring [8D].........i bit off topic, i found some unused Motive 3.73's for the 7.5 in my local area for sale for $150. i keep reading how the motives have a whine which is why i had my target set on FRPP gears and t-lok. do any of you think i should consider buying these motive gears and is the price worth the potential whine? in case you're wondering, i would definately wait until i also get a LSD before i have anything installed. thanks.
P.S. Stay strong raider nation! good things will be brewing in the off-season! [8D]

Sancho, the installer I spoke with said he almost always uses the Motives and doesn't get any whine. I don't think that you can get the FRPP 3.73 for the 7.5 rear end anymore either.
If you want to avoid whine, avoid Richmonds - straight cut gears and they will whine.
